Hundreds of Semen Gresik Employees Compactly Donate Blood in Commemoration of National OSH Month 2024

Rembang, February 22nd, 2024 – PT Semen Gresik in synergy with the Indonesian Red Cross of Rembang Regency, along with a social community managed by employees, OASE, held a blood donation event in commemoration of the National Occupational Safety and Health (K3) Month 2024.

The blood donation agenda was attended by 150 donors from Semen Gresik employees and affiliated companies held at the Rembang Factory, on Tuesday (20/2).

PT SG Senior Manager of Communication & CSR, Dharma Sunyata, said that in commemoration of the National K3 month in 2024, the company carried out various activities starting with the alert apple agenda, watching together (nobar) the opening of the national K3 month from the SIG group, safety challenge competitions, health seminars, to blood donation actions to encourage K3 culture in the company.

"It is a tangible manifestation that the company is present in social care in the community, by actively fulfilling the need for blood supply to PMI blood transfusion units in the Central Java area, especially in Rembang Regency and its surroundings," Dharma explained.

Dharma continued; OASE Community is a community of Semen Gresik employees who are engaged in social activities. The community, which was established in late 2019, routinely organizes blood donation programs every three months.

"We are grateful that this noble act has succeeded in moving the conscience of employees to donate blood. OASE is proactive in organizing blood donation, seeing the condition of Rembang as an area with low fulfillment of blood bag needs compared to other surrounding districts," he said.

Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the National K3 Month Committee of PT Semen Gresik, Alfi Fadlhi, said that the blood donation action has a positive impact on the health of the body, provides hope for life for others, and helps fulfill the blood bag stock of PMI Rembang and the surrounding area.

"From a total of 150 donors, we managed to achieve a new record by supplying 135 blood bags to PMI Rembang. We hope that this blood donation action will continue to be consistent so that it will benefit others," he concluded.
